I feel the urge to needlessly babble. As always I'm not sure what about but we will give it a shot. I also thought, since I can (if only briefly) I'd try a journal skin. Stripes! And sticking with dA-esque colours because I like things to match.

Lesee, lesee. Well, as I mentioned in my previous journal I got a ticket for Video Games Live. That was on the Sunday just gone and despite the minor flu I'd been suffering from resurfacing and playing havoc with my nasal breathing it was absolutely EPIC! Okay, so I didn't know some of the games and thus consequently their music but it was still pretty to watch and listen to. All the little contests were amusing too. The kid who performed Guitar Hero for us was rather impressive, if a little cocky. Just 14 years old and he scored over 125000 points on Expert, some of which he wasn't even watching the screen for and was instead showboating for the crowd. Originally he was meant to do it on Hard but he said it was too easy and did it on Expert. Very impressive. Haha.
My favourite bit was evidently the Kingdom Hearts section though it's a little disappointing that there was no game footage. Considering there wasn't any for Final Fantasy either suggests it might be for legal reasons? And seeing clips from Sonic and Mario and Zelda had me feeling all nostalgic. Especially for Sonic. I'd played the games but one of the ones they showed.
It was a truly awesome evening. I'm glad I caved and bought a ticket. Though I think I enjoyed it more because I got to go with people. I was with ~Red-Angel-Keyo for the entire thing but I saw ~PandaCat-Productions and *AnawielDewdrop before and after the show so we all geeked out together. If and when it comes back to Dundee I plan to go again.

I have finally picked up the new Kingdom Hearts game. I didn't get it when it came out because I've been trying to watch my money but last Thursday I traded in a bunch of games that I won which were of no interest and earned enough to get it since it was reduced to £20. So I only ended up paying £1 since the games I traded came to £19.
I am rather enjoying it, I will admit. Some of the dialogue scenes near the beginning had me giggling though. Roxas's complete naivety just screams for yaoi interpretation. Especially when he doesn't know what a friend is and what friends do together. I could just see it progressing to Axel claiming that friends do...certain things together if you catch my drift XD. 'Tis amusing.
I cannot decide if I like Xion. She's kinda sweet I guess but little bits about her bug me. The first time she used the keyblade irked me a lot. Admittedly I'm not too far. Only on day 70-something. I'm trying my best to hold off my judgement until she's developed further but still...she seems a bit...forced. Ah well, we will see, we will see.

This year's Christmas comic is making slow progress. The rough plot has been written out in a notebook and some outfit designs have been produced, I just need to find the motivation to sit down and actually start drawing. Thing is I haven't felt that motivated at all recently. I do want to do it, I'm just not in the mood. And to be fair there are many pieces of coursework that I should be dedicating my time to. Plus a lot of last week was spent curled up feeling sorry for myself whenever I hadn't dragged myself to class. Feeling fluish and lonely does that to you after all. I will attempt to get myself together soon. Maybe once I feel in a better position with the courseworks...like when I know exactly what it is I plan to do...and when that framework is all finished and works...*sigh*
Of course, there's always the plan I seem to fall back on every year which involves leaving it until the Christmas holidays and then spending every available hour on it. Heh. Shame my holiday starts late this year.

Good GOD where did the time go?! T_________T Give it back. 4 weeks isn't enough.

The award ceremony is next week. Joy. I'm hoping that it at least won't be raining (but don't hold out much hope) since none of my shoes seem to be waterproof, especially not my smart shoes, and I have to travel on foot which takes me 15-20 minutes. So my feet will get wet. I'd also look a very sorry sight if I showed up drenched, and not exactly presentable as one should be for that kind of thing. At least it will be short. Only a couple of hours and that includes the 45 minute meet and greet beforehand. Last year we were finished just after 8pm, even though we started late.

Hmm...not really much else to ramble about. Not much ever happens after all, though in some ways I like that. Ooh, and Umineko is all loaded now so that can distract me a while longer.
